The Crandon Mine Victory

Nicolet Minerals Company Sold October 28, 2003

For at least 27 years, thousands of people
from Wisconsin, Native American Communities,
the Great Lakes States and all over the world
fought the proposed Crandon Mine project.

On October 28, 2003 the battle was over.
The Mole Lake Sokaogon Chippewa and
Forest County Potawatomi Tribes
purchased the Nicolet Minerals Company.

These brave people and thousands of others saved
the Wolf River for future generations of children.
