Wolf River Protection Fund
Mission Statement
The Mission of the Wolf River Protection Fund is to identify, procure, and secure watershed and headwater lands vital to the environmental health of the Wolf River.
Goals
1. Identify all lands, properties, industries, and activities
that affect the watershed and headwaters of the Wolf River.
2. Procure tracks of land identified as vital to the environmental health
of the Wolf River.
3. Secure purchased properties by developing methods by which the properties
can become self funding without unnecessary adverse affects to the environmental
health of the land and/or the Wolf River.
Objectives
1. Plan environmental studies of the Wolf River watershed and
headwaters.
2. Obtain funding to finance environmental studies and the establishment of
a research archive.
3. Obtain offices for the Wolf River Protection Fund to administer and archive
files related to the Wolf River watershed and headwaters.
4. Obtain a copy of all previous environmental studies made of the Wolf River
watershed and headwaters.
5. Establish a fund to finance the procurement of key property sites.
6. Obtain private and corporate donors to support the fund.
7. Establish an environmentally sound economic development policy that will
ensure the perpetual funding necessary to maintain the properties in an environmentally
sound and financially secure position.
8. Establish membership in local, regional, and state economic development
organizations so as to maintain a voice in environmentally sound economic
development choices.
